Industrial vibration diagnostics in the East of England
A pump that vibrates at a new duty, a mixer that becomes noisy during a batch or a motor that runs differently under load deserves a closer look. EchoShift provides industrial vibration diagnostics and managed condition monitoring across the East of England.
Snapshot vibration diagnostics from £125. Scope and travel agreed before booking.
24-hour enquiry line. Attendance and callback timing are agreed separately.
Managed condition monitoring from £75 per monitored asset per month for suitable assets. Installation and commissioning quoted separately.
Regional engineering call-outs and on-site assessments
Industrial diagnostics, based in Birmingham — supporting sites across the UK. EchoShift provides regional engineering call-outs, on-site diagnostic assessments, vibration analysis and condition monitoring. For engineering enquiries and support in the East of England, our telephone line is available 24 hours a day. Tell us what's happening with your machinery, and we'll agree the scope, attendance time and price before work is booked.
Already collecting vibration data? Read the planned customer-supplied data review scope. That route is not open for submissions. Do not send vibration datasets or confidential production information through the enquiry forms or email.
Investigate vibration under the duty that causes concern
Tell us what changed in the machine and in the process. Pump flow, mixer loading, conveyor throughput and motor speed can affect the behaviour you observe. A suspected bearing or alignment problem needs measurement and interpretation before the cause can be established.
A one-off snapshot records the agreed machinery and running conditions, with a findings summary explaining what the evidence supports and what to check next. If the issue recurs through different batches or seasons, we can discuss whether repeat measurements or managed monitoring would add useful information.
Read about vibration diagnostics, pump diagnostics and mixer and agitator diagnostics. Bring any earlier readings you have; an initial investigation does not depend on a pre-existing baseline.
Snapshot diagnostics and managed monitoring prices
Snapshot vibration diagnostics from £125. The price depends on the agreed scope, machine count, travel, access and timing; it is not a fixed attendance price for every UK site.
Managed condition monitoring from £75 per monitored asset per month for suitable assets. Installation and commissioning are scoped and quoted separately. We agree the monitoring requirement and full price before work begins.
See snapshot diagnostics for a one-off check or managed condition monitoring for an ongoing requirement. Complex or specialist work is assessed and quoted individually.
EchoShift scopes the assessment around the asset's duty and the maintenance question. We agree the equipment, operating window and full price before work begins.
Peterborough Fenland and Cambridgeshire
The East of England has advanced manufacturing activity around Cambridge and Peterborough. For production or processing enquiries in Peterborough, Fenland, Ely, Huntingdon and the wider county, identify whether the concern follows a machine setting or a particular stage of production.
If equipment runs seasonally or only for certain orders, include the next representative operating window. A reading taken under a different duty may still be useful, but its purpose and limits need to be agreed.
Norfolk Suffolk and the east coast
For Norfolk and inland Suffolk sites, describe the process before naming the service you think you need. A handling line, extraction fan or transfer pump may run differently as throughput changes. State when the concern is present and whether your team has a normal condition to compare with it.
This route also includes Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft. For port-related or restricted sites around Ipswich, Felixstowe and Harwich, tell us about access and specialist requirements at the start. Freeport East is part of the region's industrial and port geography; it is not evidence that every site or machine within it is suitable for EchoShift work.
Essex and the Thames corridor
For Chelmsford, Colchester, Braintree, Harlow, Thurrock, Basildon and Southend, identify the drive and the equipment it serves. If the concern is noticed only during peak handling activity, include the load and time rather than describe the machine as continuously faulty.
See conveyor drive diagnostics for handling machinery. South Essex enquiries belong here; the Kent bank and London sites can start through UK machinery enquiries with the full postcode.
Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire
For Bedford, Luton, Dunstable, Stevenage, Hemel Hempstead and the wider counties, describe whether the asset supports production, a test process or site services. Include variable-speed operation, standby use or recent alterations where relevant.
If you are considering several motors for an ongoing programme, give each an asset reference and a description of its duty. The electric motor diagnostics page provides the technical route for a motor-specific concern.
A useful operating record
- Site postcode, machine type, asset reference and asset count.
- What you notice and whether it happens during startup, steady running or a change in duty.
- Known speed, load or process setting at that time.
- Product, throughput or maintenance changes that coincide with the concern.
- Previous readings or notes, if available, and the next comparable running window.
- Access requirements, the maintenance decision and your callback details.
Questions about changing operating conditions
Can seasonal machinery be considered for monitoring?
Yes. Tell us when it operates and what you need to learn. We assess whether an ongoing managed arrangement is appropriate or whether a defined check during a useful run better matches the requirement.
Are two vibration readings always directly comparable?
No. The machine's duty and the way measurements were taken matter. Supply the context you have so the basis of any comparison can be agreed.
What if we have no earlier readings?
You can still describe the concern. We can discuss an initial investigation and what information would make later comparisons useful, without claiming an existing baseline that has never been measured.
