Industrial vibration diagnostics in the North East
New motor vibration, a noisy pump or a geared drive that behaves differently through a production cycle? EchoShift provides industrial vibration diagnostics across the North East. Start with a snapshot investigation, or discuss managed monitoring for suitable rotating machinery.
Snapshot vibration diagnostics from £125. Scope and travel agreed before booking.
24-hour enquiry line. Attendance and callback timing are agreed separately.
Managed condition monitoring from £75 per monitored asset per month for suitable assets. Installation and commissioning quoted separately.
Regional engineering call-outs and on-site assessments
Industrial diagnostics, based in Birmingham — supporting sites across the UK. EchoShift provides regional engineering call-outs, on-site diagnostic assessments, vibration analysis and condition monitoring. For engineering enquiries and support in the North East, our telephone line is available 24 hours a day. Tell us what's happening with your machinery, and we'll agree the scope, attendance time and price before work is booked.
Already collecting vibration data? Read the planned customer-supplied data review scope. That route is not open for submissions. Do not send vibration datasets or confidential production information through the enquiry forms or email.
Motor and process-plant vibration investigations
A motor bearing concern, a pump vibration change and a compressor symptom need to be tied to the machine's actual running state. Tell us whether the problem occurs at startup, under steady load or during a short production stage, and what work has recently been done.
A snapshot combines focused measurements with engineering interpretation and a findings summary. We agree the machinery, useful running window and measurement access before attendance. For process plant, send any permit or specialist requirements at that stage so the proposed work can be checked for suitability.
Our vibration diagnostics service explains the investigation. Teesside process plant and North East production sites have different practical arrangements; the sections below help identify the information needed without assuming specialist approvals.
Snapshot diagnostics and managed monitoring prices
Snapshot vibration diagnostics from £125. The price depends on the agreed scope, machine count, travel, access and timing; it is not a fixed attendance price for every UK site.
Managed condition monitoring from £75 per monitored asset per month for suitable assets. Installation and commissioning are scoped and quoted separately. We agree the monitoring requirement and full price before work begins.
See snapshot diagnostics for a one-off check or managed condition monitoring for an ongoing requirement. Complex or specialist work is assessed and quoted individually.
EchoShift scopes the investigation around the machinery, operating state and site requirements. We agree the work, access, timing and price before arranging attendance.
Teesside process and supporting plant
Tees Valley has a substantial chemicals and industrial base. For Middlesbrough, Stockton, Redcar, Hartlepool and Darlington enquiries, identify the machinery separately from the wider process and say what is required to access it.
For a pump, fan, compressor or drive, include normal running duty and whether the suspected problem occurs in stable operation or during a transition. Send applicable site requirements before a date is discussed. Pump diagnostics and compressor vibration diagnostics provide the relevant asset information; neither implies approval for a restricted or hazardous installation.
Sunderland Washington and County Durham
The region has an established automotive and advanced manufacturing base, including Sunderland. For production equipment in Sunderland, Washington and County Durham, describe the repeated cycle: what starts, what stops and when the vibration becomes apparent.
Enquiries from Newton Aycliffe, Peterlee, Consett and Bishop Auckland use the same route. If a motor or geared drive only shows the symptom during a short stage of production, include the cycle length and whether the operating team can identify that stage. See motor vibration diagnostics and gearbox diagnostics for technical context.
Tyneside engineering and site machinery
For Newcastle, Gateshead and North and South Tyneside, explain whether the equipment is installed at your site or is being worked on for a customer. A workshop observation and an installed-machine investigation may need different information and access arrangements.
If a problem has appeared after installation, identify changes in mounting, connected equipment or operating duty that your team knows about. We can agree the investigation without treating any one change as a confirmed cause.
Northumberland sites
For Blyth, Ashington, Cramlington, Berwick and other Northumberland sites, give the postcode and the machine's role. If the equipment is within a port or specialist facility, include the access contact and requirements early. The regional industrial context helps locate an enquiry; the actual asset and site conditions determine whether the proposed work is suitable.
What to include in the first discussion
- Machine type, asset count and the site postcode.
- The operating state in which the symptom occurs.
- Known speed, load, production-cycle timing and any recent changes.
- Whether the equipment can be accessed during that state.
- Induction, permit or specialist requirements, and the person who can clarify them.
- Your maintenance question, urgency and preferred callback time.
Questions about access and operating state
Should we shut the machine down before an enquiry?
An enquiry does not require you to change the machine's operating state. Explain the current situation and follow your site's operating procedures. We discuss the conditions needed for any proposed work before it is arranged.
Can you work during a planned outage?
Tell us what will be stopped, what can run and what you want to learn. Some questions need operating information, so an outage is not automatically the right window for every diagnostic task.
Does this include specialist process or offshore work?
No such capability is implied. State the requirement and we will establish whether an appropriate route can be offered before confirming any work or specialist involvement.
