Industrial vibration diagnostics in Wales

Pump vibration, a bearing concern or an extraction fan that has become rougher? EchoShift provides vibration diagnostics for industrial motors and driven equipment in Wales. A one-off snapshot can investigate the problem; managed monitoring is available for suitable ongoing requirements.

Snapshot vibration diagnostics from £125. Scope and travel agreed before booking.

24-hour enquiry line. Attendance and callback timing are agreed separately.

Managed condition monitoring from £75 per monitored asset per month for suitable assets. Installation and commissioning quoted separately.

Regional engineering call-outs and on-site assessments

Industrial diagnostics, based in Birmingham — supporting sites across the UK. EchoShift provides regional engineering call-outs, on-site diagnostic assessments, vibration analysis and condition monitoring. For engineering enquiries and support in Wales, our telephone line is available 24 hours a day. Tell us what's happening with your machinery, and we'll agree the scope, attendance time and price before work is booked.

Already collecting vibration data? Read the planned customer-supplied data review scope. That route is not open for submissions. Do not send vibration datasets or confidential production information through the enquiry forms or email.

Find out what the vibration evidence supports

A symptom at a motor does not identify the source on its own. Tell us what it drives: a pump, belt-driven fan, gearbox or production machine. We agree which parts of the assembly need measurement and explain the findings, their limits and the next useful maintenance check.

The snapshot is a standalone diagnostic service. You can start with one affected machine and consider monitoring separately if recurring behaviour needs tracking. Where different teams maintain the motor and driven equipment, identify who can provide access and the repair history so the investigation covers the right machinery.

The relevant technical routes are electric motor diagnostics, pump diagnostics and fan and blower diagnostics.

Snapshot diagnostics and managed monitoring prices

Snapshot vibration diagnostics from £125. The price depends on the agreed scope, machine count, travel, access and timing; it is not a fixed attendance price for every UK site.

Managed condition monitoring from £75 per monitored asset per month for suitable assets. Installation and commissioning are scoped and quoted separately. We agree the monitoring requirement and full price before work begins.

See snapshot diagnostics for a one-off check or managed condition monitoring for an ongoing requirement. Complex or specialist work is assessed and quoted individually.

EchoShift agrees which parts of the motor and driven assembly need assessment, who can authorise access, the timing and the full price before booking.

Cardiff Newport and the Valleys

Wales has established manufacturing activity, with a compound semiconductor cluster in the south. This page is for enquiries about the actual rotating machinery on a site, rather than a claim to service every production technology used in that sector.

For Cardiff, Newport, Monmouthshire and the Valleys, explain whether the concern is inside a production machine or in support plant. Include Barry and the Vale of Glamorgan through the same enquiry route. If access is controlled by a separate facilities or production team, identify the contact who can agree it.

Swansea Port Talbot and west Wales

For Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Bridgend, tell us whether the machine runs as a standalone unit or as part of a connected line. In a process enquiry, include what is being driven, normal duty and any restrictions that affect investigation.

The same initial discussion is available for Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, including Llanelli, Milford Haven and Pembroke. Send any permit or specialist requirements before attendance is discussed. We assess those requirements explicitly; a process-site address does not imply hazardous-area or other specialist capability.

Wrexham Deeside and north Wales

North-east Wales has a manufacturing concentration around Wrexham and Flintshire, including Deeside. For these sites, distinguish a problem in your own production equipment from an issue with a machine you manufacture or maintain for another business. That affects who can authorise the investigation and what information can be supplied.

For the north coast, Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire and Anglesey, give the full postcode and any practical site-access constraints. We confirm the scope and timing against the actual requirement.

Mid Wales and dispersed sites

For Powys and Ceredigion, a focused machine brief helps establish whether a visit should address one asset or an agreed group. Describe where the machines sit and whether they can be accessed and run within the same window. A longer list is not automatically a more useful scope.

Questions to resolve inside your team

  • Which complete assembly is affected, and how many assets need consideration?
  • Is the change felt at the motor, driven equipment or both?
  • What changed in the machine, product or duty before the symptom appeared?
  • Who owns the equipment and can authorise access and work?
  • Is the machine available to run under the condition of concern?
  • What are the postcode, site requirements and preferred callback details?

Choose the investigation or monitoring route

For an unexplained change, start with vibration diagnostics. If the concern is specifically bearing condition, bearing diagnostics explains that service. For a longer-term requirement, we can discuss whether managed monitoring is appropriate for the identified asset and duty.

Questions about machinery responsibilities

What if we do not know whether the motor or driven machine is responsible?

Describe the complete assembly and the symptom without choosing a cause. We can agree an investigation scope that takes the connected equipment into account where appropriate.

Can our existing maintenance contractor remain involved?

Tell us who maintains the equipment and what information or access they can provide. We can agree how the proposed diagnostic work fits the maintenance decision without assuming responsibility for a separate contractor's work.

Call with the machine and the site postcode

You can start with the equipment you know and fill in the remaining details during qualification.
