Industrial vibration diagnostics in Yorkshire and Humber
A rough-running motor, pump vibration after a refit or a noisy gearbox can leave the next repair unclear. EchoShift provides industrial vibration diagnostics across Yorkshire and Humber, with one-off snapshots and managed condition monitoring for suitable machinery.
Snapshot vibration diagnostics from £125. Scope and travel agreed before booking.
24-hour enquiry line. Attendance and callback timing are agreed separately.
Managed condition monitoring from £75 per monitored asset per month for suitable assets. Installation and commissioning quoted separately.
Regional engineering call-outs and on-site assessments
Industrial diagnostics, based in Birmingham — supporting sites across the UK. EchoShift provides regional engineering call-outs, on-site diagnostic assessments, vibration analysis and condition monitoring. For engineering enquiries and support in Yorkshire and Humber, our telephone line is available 24 hours a day. Tell us what's happening with your machinery, and we'll agree the scope, attendance time and price before work is booked.
Already collecting vibration data? Read the planned customer-supplied data review scope. That route is not open for submissions. Do not send vibration datasets or confidential production information through the enquiry forms or email.
Investigate the motor and the equipment it drives
Tell us whether the concern began after a repair, alignment adjustment, speed change or change in load. A vibration noticed at the motor can involve its coupling, mounting or driven machine. The investigation follows the relevant assembly rather than treating the suspected component as a confirmed fault.
For a snapshot, we agree the measurement positions and running conditions, then provide interpreted findings and a practical next step. Existing readings and repair notes help assess what changed; they are useful context, not a prerequisite for an initial enquiry.
Use industrial vibration diagnostics for the investigation and bearing diagnostics when bearing condition is part of the concern. The regional sections below cover South and West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and both banks of the Humber.
Snapshot diagnostics and managed monitoring prices
Snapshot vibration diagnostics from £125. The price depends on the agreed scope, machine count, travel, access and timing; it is not a fixed attendance price for every UK site.
Managed condition monitoring from £75 per monitored asset per month for suitable assets. Installation and commissioning are scoped and quoted separately. We agree the monitoring requirement and full price before work begins.
See snapshot diagnostics for a one-off check or managed condition monitoring for an ongoing requirement. Complex or specialist work is assessed and quoted individually.
EchoShift scopes the investigation around the affected machinery and its maintenance history. We agree the measurements, site access, timing and price before arranging work.
South Yorkshire engineering and production
South Yorkshire has an established advanced manufacturing base. For Sheffield and Rotherham enquiries, identify the equipment supporting the production task and whether the concern affects output, repeatability or a planned return to service.
For Doncaster and Barnsley sites, include handling equipment or auxiliary plant where it is relevant to the same problem. If you want a comparison following maintenance, describe the earlier condition and the current running duty. We can then agree the comparison's scope and limitations, rather than treat a reading on its own as an acceptance certificate.
West Yorkshire manufacturing
For Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Calderdale and Kirklees, a clear asset description keeps an enquiry focused when several drives serve one production area. State which motor drives which machine, and whether the vibration is localised or noticed across the assembly.
If a gearbox or belt-driven unit is involved, give any known speed and load information. See motor vibration diagnostics and gearbox and geared drive diagnostics for the machine-specific discussion. We agree which connected assets need attention before setting the price.
Humber enquiries on both banks
The Humber combines ports, chemicals and other industrial activity. This enquiry route includes Hull, Goole and the East Riding, together with Immingham, Grimsby and Scunthorpe on the south bank.
For process or materials-handling machinery, tell us whether the unit can be accessed during normal running and whether a permit, induction or specialist competence is required. A pump in a restricted process area has different attendance requirements from an accessible workshop motor. We need those facts before confirming suitability; location alone does not establish that EchoShift can undertake the work.
Use pump vibration diagnostics or conveyor drive diagnostics when those assets match the concern. Include the operating duty and any site restrictions in the enquiry.
York and North Yorkshire sites
For York, Selby, Harrogate, Thirsk, Ripon and the coast, including Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale, tell us whether the machine runs continuously, seasonally or in batches. For food or general process equipment, the product stage and permitted access window can matter as much as the machine name.
If the site has several small production areas, identify the affected area and the person who knows its normal operation. We can qualify a specific problem before discussing a broader asset programme.
A useful machine history for your enquiry
- Postcode, site contact and preferred callback time.
- The motor and driven-machine references, plus the number of assets involved.
- What you observe, when it occurs and what has recently changed.
- Any earlier readings, maintenance notes or useful machine specifications already available.
- Normal speed or duty, the next representative run and whether access is possible then.
- Permit, induction, hygiene or specialist requirements that could affect the proposed work.
Questions about comparisons and site requirements
Can you compare the machine before and after maintenance?
Tell us what information exists and whether the running conditions can be compared. A useful before-and-after assessment needs an agreed basis; different speeds, loads or measurement arrangements may limit what the comparison can show.
Does a Humber enquiry include the south bank?
Yes. Use this route for both banks and give the full site postcode. We qualify the actual machinery and attendance requirements rather than divide the industrial area at the river.
Can work be confirmed before permits are checked?
We need to understand access and any specialist requirements before confirming the job. Send the relevant requirement or discuss it on the call; no specialist approval is implied by this page.
Discuss the machine before deciding the scope
